A Presentation is a collection of slides used to visually convey information in an organized and engaging manner. In LibreOffice Impress, users can design, animate, and present slides containing text, images, charts, and multimedia.
A slide is the basic unit of a presentation, similar to a page in a document. Each slide contains different objects like text, images, charts, or shapes.
Slide layouts define how content appears on a slide. Impress provides ready-made layouts such as Title Slide, Title and Content, Two Columns, and Blank Slide.
The Master Slide controls the design and formatting of all slides in a presentation. It includes consistent fonts, background colors, and logos applied across the presentation.
Templates are pre-designed presentation files that help users quickly create professional-looking slides. They include preset colors, backgrounds, and layout styles.
Slide transitions are visual effects applied when moving from one slide to another. Example: Fade, Wipe, or Cube rotation.
Animations add motion to text and objects within a slide to make presentations more dynamic and engaging. Example: Entrance, Emphasis, or Exit effects.
The Notes section allows presenters to add reminders or explanations for each slide. These notes are visible only to the presenter during the slideshow.
LibreOffice Impress provides several views for creating and managing slides:
Impress allows inserting images, audio, and video to make presentations interactive and visually appealing.
Presentations can be exported in various formats such as .odp, .pdf, or .pptx.
