This spreadsheet demonstrates how to calculate an Electricity Bill automatically in Excel or LibreOffice Calc using formulas. It includes Previous Reading, Current Reading, Units Consumed, Unit Price, and Total Amount.
| Consumer No. | Consumer Name | Previous Reading (kWh) | Current Reading (kWh) | Units Consumed | Unit Price (₹) | Total Bill (₹) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| C001 | Ravi Kumar | 1530 | 1650 | =D2-C2 | 6 | =E2*F2 |
| C002 | Meena Devi | 2900 | 3100 | =D3-C3 | 6.5 | =E3*F3 |
| C003 | Rajesh Sharma | 4300 | 4600 | =D4-C4 | 7 | =E4*F4 |
| C004 | Priya Singh | 5050 | 5300 | =D5-C5 | 7.5 | =E5*F5 |
| C005 | Amit Patel | 6100 | 6400 | =D6-C6 | 8 | =E6*F6 |
| C006 | Divya Joshi | 7200 | 7550 | =D7-C7 | 8.5 | =E7*F7 |
| C007 | Arjun Nair | 8500 | 9000 | =D8-C8 | 9 | =E8*F8 |
=D2-C2 → Calculates the total units consumed by subtracting previous reading from current reading.=E2*F2 → Calculates the total bill amount (Units × Unit Price). You can extend this table to include Fixed Charge, Electricity Duty (ED%), and Final Payable Amount:
| Consumer | Total Bill (₹) | Fixed Charge (₹) | ED (5%) | Final Bill (₹) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ravi Kumar | 720 | 50 | =B2*5% | =B2+C2+D2 |
| Meena Devi | 1300 | 50 | =B3*5% | =B3+C3+D3 |
This electricity bill sheet can be used by housing societies, electricity boards, or accountants to automate monthly billing. Just update readings and prices — all totals and duties are calculated automatically.
